Basilica Cistern, Istanbul – on the ‘Field Recordings’ podcast
A recording of mine has been published on the brilliant Field Recordings podcast.
It's of the sound inside the massive subterranean Basilica Cistern in Istanbul. I visited in May 2023 and, when I went inside, I realised it was easily the echoey-est place I’d ever been – I had to try and capture the sound.
It's a binaural recording, which just means I had mics in my ears – so the best way to listen back is with earphones.
